Anurag Kashyap reads Desi Train
I had to do this. Climb on my chair and announce to the world. It’s 1:30 am in the morning, I can barely keep my eyes open, but my feet are about 2 feet above the ground.
Just came back from watching “Paanch” at the Indian Film Festival. A review follows soon.
But the best part of the festival was meeting Anurag Kashyap before and after the movie.
Yes my dear readers, by some strange position of my stars (which usually are in the shittiest of positions) I had a 1 on 1 discussion about movies, writing, Bollywood and other things for about 5 to 10 minutes. 1 on 1.
Besides that I have my notes on the question - answer session Anurag Kashyap had with the audience of Paanch.
And above all Anurag Kashyap READS DESI TRAIN.
This before the movie started:-
Me: “… You know Anurag, I awarded you the Genius who was most screwed by the system on my site where I blog” [Ozcar awards post]
Anurag (with a smile): “You write the DESI TRAIN!!! [me nodding aggressively] I read your reviews all the time!!!!!!!!….” [me getting the shock of my life]…. and Anurag continues
“A very famous actress from Bollywood who herself is an avid blogger and reads your posts, introduced me to your blog and told me about the most unlucky guy in Bollywood award you gave me…”
Well not sure if I’ll be able to sleep tonight… pardon me my dearest readers, but I need another tequila shot to let Anurag’s above words…. sink in…

- Nirav, I didn’t think of asking him that. I had so many things to talk about in the short time he talked to me, that I had jumped to the next question. It was later that I realized and told my buddies on the way back home. Sure enough I was given a hard time for not asking Anurag who the actress was.
